A good habit is easier to keep than to start. Choose one small thing, do it every day at the same time, and let the results pile up quietly. The library was almost empty on Sunday morning. Only the sound of pages turning and a distant clock reminded us that time was still moving. Before you leave home, check the weather, take some water and tell someone where you are going. Small plans prevent big problems. Learning to type well is like learning to ride a bike: at first you look at every key, then one day your fingers simply know the way. The market opened at seven. Farmers arranged tomatoes, oranges and fresh bread on the tables while the first customers arrived with bags.

Frequently asked questions

How is words per minute calculated?

The standard way: every five correctly typed characters count as one word, divided by the minutes of the test. Wrong characters do not count, so accuracy matters as much as speed.

What is a good typing speed?

Around 40 words per minute is a comfortable average for everyday computer work; above 60 is fast, and professional typists reach 80 or more with high accuracy.
