About this tool
Put any list on a colourful wheel — students, raffle participants, team names, chores or places to eat — and spin it. The winner is drawn with your browser's secure random generator before the wheel starts moving, so every entry has exactly the same chance; the animation only shows the result. You can shuffle the list, remove each winner so nobody is picked twice, and copy a link that opens the same wheel for someone else. Everything runs in your browser: the names you type are not sent anywhere.
How to use it
- 1 Type one name or option per line (up to 100).
- 2 Press Spin, or tap the wheel.
- 3 Read the winner; tick “Remove the winner” to draw everyone in turn.
- 4 Copy the link to share the same wheel.
Frequently asked questions
Is the wheel really random?
Yes. The winner is chosen with crypto.getRandomValues, the browser's cryptographic random generator, with every entry equally likely. The wheel is then turned to land on that entry.
Can I pick several winners without repeats?
Tick “Remove the winner after each spin”: each winner leaves the list, so the next spin only draws from the people who are left. The last ten draws are listed under the wheel.
Are the names saved or sent anywhere?
No. The list stays in your browser. If you copy the link, the names go in the address so the wheel opens the same for whoever you send it to.
